On the 5th of August 2020, I decided to do a 100-day challenge to draw the same object for 100 days. A palm tree نخلة was the first object that literally came to my mind #مئة_نخلة_مئة_يوم . On the 87th day, I had a conversation with my dear friend Sara and expressed my wish to dedicate this palm tree for the prophet Mohammed peace be upon him. She reminded me of the previously mentioned Hadith that inspired this illustration.
Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be apon him, said, “If the Final Hour comes while you have a palm-cutting in your hands and it is possible to plant it before the Hour comes, you should plant it.” [Al-Abani]

An article by Mohammed Faris pointed out some underlying lessons in this Hadith
1 Contribute no matter the circumstances
2 Do not take action conditional on its outcome
3 Always act with ihsan [strive to do the action with the utmost excellence]
4 Be positive and optimistic

A few weeks after that, someone approached me to create this print as a special gift. Thank you other Sarah, for inspiring me to utilize the workshops at the university to create artwork. It is something I have always wanted to do, and I am happy you asked. I have mentioned some details about letterpress, the printing technique used in the following post. With this print a polymer plate was used instead of an Acrylic board.
